SOFTBALL CLINIC The three day softball clinic organized by the Amateur Softball Association of the Philippines, in cooperation with international Softball Federation and Cebuana Lhuillier, gathered a total of 47 participants from all over the country. Presenting their certificates are the softball clinic participants with ASAPHIL President Jean Henri Lhuillier, ISF Certified Coach Maurice Paraha, ASAPHIL Vice President for Visayas Miko Jimenez, and ASAPHIL Operations Manager Jun Veloso. The free clinic held on Feb. 8, 11 and 12 at the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex, focused on offensive and defensive strategies and mental preparation. ASAPHIL also plans to have softball included in DepEd’s curriculum to further promote softball. Lhuillier believes that softball is a sport, where Filipino athletes can excel and he plans to continue in providing venues, where softball athletes can showcase their talents and help coaches improve their skills.
