Cebuana netfest set

The 2013 Cebuana Lhuillier National Age Group Tennis, one of the country’s biggest and longest running grassroots programs in tennis, resumes on Oct. 28 with its 17th leg to be hosted by the Valencia City Tennis Club in Valencia, Bukidnon.

A program initiated by sportsman-businessman and long-time Philippine Davis Cup team manager Jean Henri Lhuillier to discover and identify young tennis talents primarily in the Visayas and Mindanao regions, this coming Group 5 category competition is expected to draw close to 100 participants not only from Bukidnon province but from adjoining provinces.

Deadline for registration in the tournament is Oct. 27, with Noel Saavedra as contact person at tel. no. 0917 6252838.

The remaining three legs of this nationwide program will be held in Midsayap, North Cotabato on Nov. 22 to 25, in Isulan, Sultan Kudarat from Nov. 29 to Dec. 2, while the culminating leg that should draw over a hundred entries easily is in Cebu City from Dec. 6 to 9.
