Jean Henri Lhuillier shows all-out support for RP Blu Girls

The President of Amateur Softball Association of the Philippines (ASAPHIL) Jean Henri Lhuillier, expresses his optimism on the championship bid of the country’s national softball team RP Blu Girls. During the squad’s practice in Rizal Memorial Baseball Stadium November 15, he shared words of encouragement and showed his all-out support for the girls.

The RP Blu Girls are set to fly to Kaohsiung, Taiwan for the 11th Asian Women’s Softball Championship which will be held from November 24 to 30. They will be battling against several countries, including Asia’s powerhouse teams Japan, Korea and Chinese Taipei.

“Our ultimate goal is to land in the Top 3 to qualify for the 14th World Softball in Haarlan, Netherlands on August 15-24 next year,” said Jun Veloso, ASAPHIL Operations Manager.

Veloso added that achieving victory will not be easy because other countries’ representatives, for sure, are ready to fire up the playing field by showing their bests. But he remains confident that what the four-time Southeast Asian Games champion trained for in the last months will pay off and give the other teams a fight they will never forget.
